What would a collection of my family's favorite recipes be without rice krispy treats? These are always a good dessert stand-by. . . . We always seem to have the ingredients on hand.
RICE KRIPSY TREATS
3 Tbs butter
4 cups mini marshmallows (or a 10 oz package)
6 cups crisped rice cereal
In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add cereal. And mix until well coated. Press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased pan. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.NOTES: I use my hands to press the mixture into the pan. If you wet your hands with water first, the mixture won't stick to them. :)
