GRANDMA LUCY'S CHRISTMAS FUDGE

After having some computer problems, I'm back! And with some great Christmas recipes too.
Here's one of my family's favorite, my Great-Grandma Lucy's fudge. There hasn't been a Christmas yet that we haven't made this heavenly, melt in your mouth, "so much for my diet" candy.GRANDMA LUCY'S CHRISTMAS FUDGE
1 can evaporated milk
3 (12 oz) packages chocolate chips
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
4-1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 (10-1/2 oz) package mini marshmallows
Nuts (optional)*
Put chocolate chips, marshmallows, butter, nuts, and vanilla into an extra large bowl and set aside. Mix milk and sugar in a large heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. When it has reached a full rolling boil, boil for 4 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from stove and pour over chocolate chip mixture. Stir until chocolate chips are melted. Pour into a 9" x 13" buttered pan and set in the fridge for 1/2 hour. Cut into 1" squares.
*My family uses chopped walnuts.
