Fruit Cocktail Cake

Fruit Cocktail and cake?  YES!!!  and it's good too! 

1 Cup flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar

Mix together, then stir in the following:
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 (15oz) can fruit cocktail (juice and all!)

Mix well and pour into greased 9 X 13" baking dish.  Mix together and sprinkle over cake before baking:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Bake at 325 degrees for 45 mins.  Sprinkle with
coconut (optional)

Serve warm with ice cream!
