HOMEMADE ALFREDO SAUCE

Today I have TWO Alfredo Sauce recipes.  The first one takes just a little bit more time because it needs time to thicken.  The second, is quick and easy, and I've been told its the same recipe Olive Garden uses.?!

HOMEMADE ALFREDO SAUCE #1
1/2 cup butter
2 cups heavy cream
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Melt buter in saucepan over medium heat.  Add the cream, garlic powder, and pepper.  Simmer for 10-12 minutes or until thick.  When the sauce has reached your desired consistency, stir in the Parmesan cheese.  Serve over your favorite pasta.

HOMEMADE ALFREDO SAUCE #2
2 cubes butter
2 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup milk, cream, or half and half
1-1/2 cup fresh grated Paremesan cheese

Melt butter, cream cheese and milk in a saucepan over medium heat.  Stir in cheese.  Serve over your favorite pasta.

Notes:  To make this even faster, melt ingredients in the microwave.
