GERMAN CHOCOLATE BARS

These are sooooo good! They'll ruin your New Year's diet for sure. Just set aside one or two for you and take the rest to your neighbors. . .cause we don't care if our neighbors get fat. :)
GERMAN CHOCOLATE BARS
1 package German Chocolate Cake mix
2/3 cup cold butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 can (15 oz) coconut-pecan frosting
1/4 cup milk
Place cake mix in a bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Press 2-1/2 cups into a greased 9 x 13" baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Drop frosting by Tablespoonfuls over the chips. Stir milk into the remaining crumb mixture; drop by teaspoonfuls over top.
Bake 25-30 minutes longer or until bubbly arond the edges and top is cracked. Cool on a wire rack. refrigerate for 4 hours before cutting.
Yield: 4 dozen
NOTES: Sometimes I cheat the 4 hours by putting them into the freezer for an hour.
